Veterans for Life Foundation empowers Canadian veterans to turn service into humanitarian action — bringing clean water, disaster relief, and hope to communities in need.
Every $50 Filter = 30 years of safe water
Our organization’s mission is to offer veterans a new vocation and a path to recovery by engaging them in humanitarian action. By participating in concrete missions, such as installing water filtration systems in disaster zones, veterans regain meaning, an active role and a community.
Led by veterans, our team deploys disaster relief operator to provide clean and safe drinking water, emergency aid, and human support to populations affected by natural disasters and crises, in Canada and abroad.
We also aim to fund sustainable development projects in First Nations and Mayan communities, in collaboration with local leaders. These initiatives include access to clean water, food resilience, and community empowerment, strengthening the long-term impact of our interventions.
In July 2025, earthquakes devastated the town of Santa María de Jesús, Guatemala, leaving thousands without homes, safe roads, or access to clean drinking water. Entire neighborhoods were cut off from this most basic need. The Veterans for Life Foundation responded by deploying four Canadian veterans to lead our first international mission, delivering 200 bucket water filters to families in need. Each filter supported multiple households, providing over 60,000 gallons of clean water in just two months — and the promise of safe water for decades to come.
